Everrest Portrait - Sketch

Mother of Corrigan from the "Wisdom Novels" (www.wisdomnovels.com). Concept sketch. Been a while. Thought I'd give her a try. Used angelina jolie's face as reference. Beast or beauty? Everrest is a Black Wing, feared above all other 'Wings'. Yet being small for her kind, she is seen as a lesser being, eventually captured by humans and taken into slavery. Her beauty, though, and high spirit (not to mention appetite for flesh) is probably what keeps her as a prized possesion in one of the clans. Perhaps even love is present. Does her master learn not only to respect her, but love her?

As a slave, I envision her having only half her wings, being clipped at the joint. Prevents flight, but not defense. She's not one to easily give up so quickly.
