Crow Among Kings
The time is right…
I sense vibrations
Along the ground
And tilt my head
For the source of sound.
They grow close…
A great flock of kin
Torn by hunger
Unite at last
We wait no longer.
I take wing…
They talk of ending
The harshness of drought
Bring weather of fair
Stop all worry and doubt.
Let the rains begin…
I land among
With crooked staff
Too long we’ve waited
Too foul this wrath.
I give of myself to Earth…
A bird no more
Now of the plains
I give my lifeblood
To end all pain.
I am…I was…A Crow Among Kings…

I'm no expert on poetry and any poetry I've written is either old, or LOTR related poetry, lol.
