I scroll through journal entires
others had written,
sadly no comments in reply.
I mouse-over the button
to leave my thoughts
but turn away, a comment
left only from the mind.

As I look through my own page
and down to the replies,
I noticed them empty and sigh.
Perhaps due to the pageviews
others have come, and left
comments from their minds too.

Inspired by...well...commenting. I don't know, it just sort of hit me last night and I suddenly remembered it. So here it is. My first poem of 2009!

My hair is standing on end.
I've ceased to read my work.
I'm in a state of zen.

My boss is out of town.

It's almost time to go,
And give my eyes a rest.

I've had enough of this.

The morn was as bright as any other day for the sky homes in Sundire. High above the clouds they collected like giant lilly pads of independent villages, attached from below to keep from floating off. As twelve-year-old Chelsea Williams trotted outside, she wondered how far down they went, especially when a piece of paper swept away from her grasp and was lost over the edge. Or get out of hand because you're not strong?
Don't you hate it when two people meet,
One says hi while the other doesn't speak?

You can't think of a thing except boring bits?
